You will be making EITHER an “OPEN” OR “EXIT” neon sign.

This class will provide you with the technique of using electroluminescent wire to create unique, in scale “neon” signs for your bar, club, store or other vignette. The sign runs on its own power supply so does not need to be wired into the project. It will only take a half day for you to understand and utilize this knowledge to complete one of the signs pictured above. You will then be able to make signs, with line pictures as an option, in almost any color you desire. You WILL finish in the time allotted and leave with a working sign for your project!

KIT CONTENTS (provided)
Battery operated wire controller – blink or steady on
One AAA battery
Two feet of 0.9 mm electroluminescent wire, red OR green, wired for quick disconnect
One piece of wood for sign back – painted flat black
One OPEN template
One EXIT template

TOOLS AND SUPPLIES NEEDED (participant provides own tools and supplies)
#61 drill bit
Pin vise, Dremel tool or other means of holding bit
Super Glue Gel
Wire cutter
Black, extra-fine marker, Sharpie or similar
Self-healing cutting mat
Scrap wood for drilling
